Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. gnocchi
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
  • ½ cup white onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup broccoli steamed and chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon dried basil or 1 tablespoon fresh chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano or 1 tablespoon fresh chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon dried parsley or 1 tablespoon fresh chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, add ground beef, onions and season with salt. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until beef is browned. Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute. Drain off excess grease.
  • Add tomato sauce, broccoli and remaining seasonings and cook over low for about 5-7 minutes.
  • While sauce is on low, cook gnocchi according to the package instructions.
  • In a 9x13 baking dish, add ⅓ of the sauce on the bottom. Toss the gnocchi on top of the sauce and then pour the remaining sauce on top. Sprinkle the top with the mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes until cheese is melted and slightly golden.
