Ingredients

  • Meatballs:
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • ¼ cup onion finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • 2 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • cup panko
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped or 1 teaspoon dried
  • BBQ Sauce:
  • 2 tablespoon canola oil
  • ¼ cup onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic cloves minced
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • cup water
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire
  • 3 tablespoon brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne

Instructions

  • For the BBQ sauce: Heat oil over medium heat, add onions and cook until translucent. Add garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant. Add remaining ingredients and stir until combined. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes or until sauce thickens. Remove from heat and serve. This will last in the fridge for about a week.
  • For the meatballs: Combine diced onion, minced garlic, ground beef, seasonings, ketchup, mustard, breadcrumbs and an egg. Mix the ingredients well and begin to form small to medium sized meatballs.
  • Next, heat a large skillet to medium heat. Add the meatballs to your hot skillet. Let the bottom of the meatballs lightly brown and then carefully begin turning meatballs using tongs or a spatula. Repeat this process until all sides are browned and the meatballs are cooked through.
  • Once your meatballs are finished cooking, turn heat to medium low and add the barbecue sauce. Lightly stir the meatballs to fully coat in the sauce. You are ready to eat! Enjoy!!
