Marinara Sauce

Extremely easy and delicious marinara sauce recipe using fresh ingredients done in under 30 minutes. This sauce is perfect red sauce for pastas, pizzas, sandwiches, dipping, and more.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 15 oz. canned diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ¼ cup onion grated
  • ¼ cup celery grated
  • ¼ cup carrot grated
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil chopped, or 1 teaspoon dried
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped, or 1 teaspoon dried
  • 1 teaspoon fresh oregano chopped, or ½ teaspoon dried
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • Add butter and olive oil to a saucepan over medium heat. Add grated veggies to the pan and begin to cook, stirring occasionally until tender.
  • Next, add minced garlic, salt, oregano, parsley and basil. Cook an additional minute.
  • Stir in diced tomatoes and simmer on low for about 20-25 minutes. Break tomatoes up with spatula as the tomatoes begin to soften.
  • Serve with your favorite pastas, pizzas, and more. Enjoy!
