Mouthwatering pulled pork recipe cooked low and slow in the oven comes out amazingly tender and delicious. Tossed with bbq sauce and served on toasty buns with coleslaw and pickles.
In a small bowl, mix together apple cider vinegar, mustard, paprika, brown sugar, salt and pepper. Place pork roast in a large bag or storage container and pour mixture on pork tossing to fully coat. Transfer pork to the fridge to marinate for at least 2 hours up to overnight.
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Pull pork out of the fridge about 20 minutes prior to searing. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil over high heat in a dutch oven. Once the oil is very hot, sear pork on all sides for about 30 seconds to a minute. Then remove from heat.
Transfer pork to a dutch oven or oven safe dish. Pour ¼ cup of water around the pork. Place oven safe lid on top of your dutch oven (you can also use foil).
Transfer to preheated oven and cook for about 3 hours until pork is fork tender.
When done, pork should shred very easily with two forks. Add bbq sauce to the pulled pork and mix combine.
Serve pulled pork on warm buns with coleslaw and pickles or however you'd like! Enjoy!
