BBQ Bacon Wrapped Chicken Thighs

Seasoned chicken thighs wrapped in thick cut bacon, basted in a sweet sauce and then grilled to crisp perfection.

  • 2 lbs. chicken thighs
  • 4-8 slices of thick cut bacon
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • toothpicks


  • Season chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • In a small bowl, mix ketchup, mustard and brown sugar.
  • Wrap each chicken thigh with bacon securing with toothpicks.
  • Baste the bacon wrapped chicken with the ketchup mixture.
  • Heat grill to medium-low heat, add the chicken and close the lid.
  • Cook for about 7 minutes until bacon is crispy and chicken is golden. Flip chicken over and cook for another 5-7 minutes. Check internal chicken temperature to ensure it is at least 165 degrees.
  • Remove chicken from grill and enjoy!
