Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
To make the sauce: Add ground beef and chopped onion to a large saucepan over medium heat. Let cook until beef is browned and onions are soft, about 7 minutes. Add garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant. Add seasonings, tomato sauce and balsamic vinegar. Let the sauce simmer and get super delicious for about 15 minutes over low heat.
Make the pizza: Lightly grease a round 8" metal cake pan. Roll out your pizza dough into a 12" circle. Press the dough into the pan pushing the dough up on the sides of the pan.
Evenly sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top of the dough. Then, evenly pour the meat sauce on top.
Mix melted butter and garlic powder in a small bowl.
Next, fold dough crust back over the pizza and baste with the garlic butter.
Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes until top is golden. Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes. Transfer pizza to a cutting board and cut into 8 pieces.
You are ready to eat! Enjoy!!
