The most delicious copycat Big Mac recipe in mini slider form! Layered just like a Big Mac with burger sauce, lettuce, beef patties, cheese, pickles and onions with three bun layers!
Whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard and pickle relish. Cover and place in the fridge until you are ready to use.
How to make Big Mac Sliders:
Start by dividing ground beef into 12 equal sized burger patties. You want these patties to be as thin as possible because they will shrink and rise while cooking. Sprinkle both sides of the patty with a tiny pinch of salt and pepper.
Heat your griddle/skillet to medium-high heat. Add as many burger patties to the pan that will fit. Because the patties are so thin, cook for only about a minute or until lightly bleeding on top. Flip patties over and press down with spatula and cook for another minute. Transfer cooked patties to a plate in the microwave to keep warm while you cook the remaining patties.
To make three layers for your Big Mac buns: Slice your Hawaiian rolls into three even pieces. Lightly spread a tiny bit of mayo on each slice. Heat clean skillet to medium heat and place buns on the griddle to lightly brown.
Arrange your Big Mac Sliders: (see image above for more detail!) Start with the bottom bun, spread Big Mac sauce on top followed by chopped onions, shredded lettuce, American cheese, burger patty. Next, place the middle bun on top of the burger patty, followed by the sauce, onions, lettuce, two pickles, burger patty and finally the top bun!
To hold the Big Mac Sliders together stick a toothpick through the top! Enjoy!
Notes
I sprinkled the tops of the Hawaiian Rolls with sesame seeds, basted them with butter and lightly toasted prior to heating on the griddle. This is a completely optional step!
For the cheese, cut each slice of American cheese in half to give you 6 slices of cheese. These will be long so you can fold each half slice in half again to place on your slider.
