  • 2 lb Pork Roast shoulder or butt
  • 1 tsp Yellow Mustard
  • 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce

  • In a small bowl, mix together apple cider vinegar, mustard, paprika, brown sugar, salt and pepper. Place pork roast in a large bag or storage container and pour mixture on pork tossing to fully coat. Transfer pork to the fridge to marinate for at least 2 hours up to overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  • Pull pork out of the fridge about 20 minutes prior to searing. Heat 1 tbsp of oil over high heat in a dutch oven. Once the oil is very hot, sear pork on all sides for about 30 seconds to a minute. Then remove from heat.
  • Transfer pork to a dutch oven or oven safe dish. Pour 1/4 cup of water around the pork. Place oven safe lid on top of your dutch oven (you can also use foil).
  • Transfer to preheated oven and cook for about 3 hours until pork is fork tender.
  • When done, pork should shred very easily with two forks. Add bbq sauce to the pulled pork and mix combine.
  • Serve pulled pork on warm buns with coleslaw and pickles or however you'd like! Enjoy!
