Start by grating peeled potatoes into a large bowl using the large grate. Cover grated potatoes with water and let soak for about 15-20 minutes to remove some of the starchiness.
Next, strain potatoes using a mesh strainer and press to get as much water out of the potatoes. Then, using paper towels, pat potatoes dry. Sprinkle potatoes evenly with seasonings and then toss to mix.
Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and add ½ tablespoon of butter. Place half of the hash browns in the hot skillet and press gently to spread evenly in pan. Let cook for about 3-4 minutes until bottom is nice and golden, then carefully flip hash browns over. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until bottom is golden. Repeat with remaining potatoes.
Serve hash browns with your favorite breakfast dishes. Enjoy!
