Ingredients

  • 3 Russet Potatoes peeled
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Onion Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Butter

Instructions

  • Start by grating peeled potatoes into a large bowl using the large grate. Cover grated potatoes with water and let soak for about 15-20 minutes to remove some of the starchiness.
  • Next, strain potatoes using a mesh strainer and press to get as much water out of the potatoes. Then, using paper towels, pat potatoes dry. Sprinkle potatoes evenly with seasonings and then toss to mix.
  • Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and add ½ tablespoon of butter. Place half of the hash browns in the hot skillet and press gently to spread evenly in pan. Let cook for about 3-4 minutes until bottom is nice and golden, then carefully flip hash browns over. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until bottom is golden. Repeat with remaining potatoes.
  • Serve hash browns with your favorite breakfast dishes. Enjoy!
