Easy takeout style meal made using stir fried chicken, broccoli, carrots, onions and garlic in a honey sesame sauce. This recipe is so easy and delicious, you and your family are going to love it! Serve over seamed rice with a sprinkle of fresh chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
In a small bowl, whisk together honey sesame sauce ingredients and set aside for later.
Toss cubed chicken into a large mixing bowl and sprinkle in cornstarch. Toss to coat the chicken. In a small bowl, whisk egg. Pour egg over the chicken and gently mix chicken to coat.
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add chicken to the skillet. Gently spread chicken out into an even layer and let cook until bottom is golden. Don’t panic, the chicken may look weird at this point but it will all come together.
Once the bottom of the chicken is golden, flip chicken over, gently breaking pieces apart. Cook for another 5-7 minutes on the other side until golden. Remove from skillet and transfer to a plate.
Add another half tablespoon of oil to the skillet and add broccoli, carrots and onions to the skillet and begin stir frying for about 5-7 minutes or until carrots and broccoli are tender.
Add chicken back to the skillet with veggies and turn heat up high. Stir fry for a few more minutes and slowly add the sauce while stirring frequently. Remove from heat.
Serve over steamed rice with fresh chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
