Applesauce Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ½ lb Apples about 7-8
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice about ¼ lemon
  • ½ teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Peel, and remove core from apples. Cut into one inch chunks.
  • Place cut apples in a large pot with remaining ingredients and stir.
  • Bring water to a low boil and cook for about 20-25 minutes until apples are very tender. Once done, let cool slightly.
  • Mash apples with a potato masher or carefully transfer to a food processor and blend until smooth.
  • If you want to sweeten your applesauce, add teaspoons of cane sugar, maple syrup or honey to taste. You can also add more cinnamon. Start with ¼ teaspoon at a time.

*This recipe will make 2 cups of applesauce which is about 4-8 servings.
