One Pot Cheesy Beef Taco Pasta

Cheesy one pot taco pasta recipe made with seasoned ground beef, peppers, and onions in a creamy and cheesy pasta sauce. Top with a sprinkle of fresh chopped cilantro.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ lb Pasta Shells
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • ½ Green Bell Pepper chopped
  • ½ Red Bell Pepper chopped
  • 1 Small Yellow Onion chopped
  • 1 lb Ground Beef or Turkey
  • 2 Garlic Cloves minced
  • ¼ cup Sour Cream
  • ¼ cup Cream Cheese
  • 2 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Cumin
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 8 oz Can Tomato Sauce
  • 2 ¼ cup Chicken Broth
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese grated

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter and oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped peppers and onions and cook until tender.
  • Add ground beef or turkey and minced garlic. Cook until browned. If using ground beef, you may need to spoon off excess grease.
  • Stir in cream cheese, sour cream and seasonings until combined. Add remaining ingredients except for the cheddar cheese and stir to combine.
  • Cover and cook over a low simmer for about 20 minutes until noodles are tender. Stir in cheddar cheese and sprinkle with fresh chopped cilantro(optional). Enjoy!
