Ingredients

  • 2 lb Tri-Tip Roast boneless or similar
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • ½ tablespoon Avocado Oil
  • ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • cup Beef Broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Yellow Mustard
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Red Wine Vinegar
  • 12 Slider Buns
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • ½ cup Barbecue Sauce
  • 6 Sharp Cheddar Cheese cut in half

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together beef broth, mustard, red wine vinegar, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce.
  • Season beef roast with garlic powder, salt and pepper on all sides.
  • Add butter and oil to your instant pot and place on sear setting. Sear beef roast on all sides for about 30 seconds on each side. When done, pour sauce over beef.
  • Set your instant pot to cook on “high” or “manual” mode for 1 ½ hours. Let pressure release naturally when done (about 15 minutes). When done, shred beef with two forks.
  • Lightly toast slider buns and top with mayonnaise and barbecue sauce. Top bottom bun with pulled beef and a half slice of cheddar cheese. Melt cheese in the toaster or oven.
