My Beef and Cheddar Sliders make for a delicious appetizer or main course. Serve sliders with your favorite side dishes like French fries, coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans and more. I will link a few of my favorite sides to serve with sliders for you below.

This recipe will make about a dozen sliders. If you are cooking for a large crowd, you can easily double the recipe. This recipe can also be cut in half.

Ingredients You Need To Make Beef and Cheddar Sliders:

Slider Buns - We use Brioche slider buns in this recipe but Hawaiian rolls would also be delicious.

Cheddar Cheese - We like to use sharp cheddar cheese on these sliders.

Barbecue Sauce - Use your favorite barbecue sauce.

Mayonnaise - We use mayonnaise on the buns.

Boneless Beef Roast - London broil, tri-tip roast, chuck roast, or similar all work great in this recipe. You'll need a two pound cut.

Beef Broth - Beef broth, chicken broth or vegetable broth.

Red Wine Vinegar - You can also use apple cider vinegar or white wine vinegar. This helps to tenderize the meat.

Mustard - Yellow mustard is best in this recipe.

Oil - We use avocado oil in this recipe in combination with butter to sear the beef.

Butter - Salted or unsalted butter both work great in this recipe. We use butter and oil to sear the roast prior to pressure cooking.

Tomato Sauce - Tomato paste can be used as a substitute. If using tomato paste, only use one tablespoon.

Worcestershire Sauce - Adds a delicious flavor to the shredded beef.

Soy Sauce - Regular or low sodium soy sauce will both work fine since we are only using one teaspoon.

How To Make Pulled Beef and Cheddar Sliders:

In a small bowl, whisk together beef broth, mustard, red wine vinegar, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce.

Season beef roast with garlic powder, salt and pepper on all sides.

Add butter and oil to your instant pot and place on sear setting. Sear beef roast on all sides for about 30 seconds on each side. When done, pour sauce over beef.

Set your instant pot to cook on “high” or “manual” mode for 1 ½ hours. Let pressure release naturally when done (about 15 minutes). When done, shred beef with two forks.

Lightly toast slider buns and top with mayonnaise and barbecue sauce. Top bottom bun with pulled beef and a half slice of cheddar cheese. Melt cheese in the toaster or oven.
