
Grilled Chicken Drumsticks with a sweet and spicy Filipino BBQ sauce. These drumsticks are super easy to make and absolutely mouth-watering good! Serve them at your next barbecue for an easy dinner or lunch! These can be served with steamed rice, veggies or with any of your favorite barbecue side dishes.

Grilled Filipino Drumsticks with Sweet & Spicy Sauce
Makes: 12 drumsticks
Ingredients:
- 12 drumsticks
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- chopped green onion, optional
Filipino BBQ Basting Sauce:
- ½ cup ketchup
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoon lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sriracha
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
Directions:
- Make the BBQ sauce: Whisk together all ingredients in a small bowl and set aside for later use.
- Heat your barbecue to low heat.
- Sprinkle drumsticks with salt and pepper and baste with olive oil on all sides.
- Once your grill is hot, place the drumsticks on the grill. The key to these drumsticks is low and slow. Turn your drumsticks every 3-4 minutes. Continue this process until the drumsticks begin to brown and are cooked through. The internal temperature should be between 165-175 degrees. Baste the drumsticks with the bbq sauce during the last few turns.
- Remove drumsticks from grill and transfer to a plate. Sprinkle with chopped green onion. Enjoy!
