Step 1: In a small bowl, mix sesame oil and soy sauce. Set aside.

Step 2: Add 1 tbsp oil to a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped carrots and onions. Cook until carrots are tender, then add garlic and peas. Cook an additional minute. Transfer veggies to a bowl for later use.

Step 3: Turn heat to high and add 2 tablespoons of oil the same skillet you cooked the veggies in. Add 2 cups of cooked white rice and season with salt and pepper. Here are some delicious Asian Main Courses to serve with this homemade fried rice:

  • Crispy Sweet and Spicy Asian Chicken – Just like takeout! Crispy pan fried chicken tossed in a sweet and spicy Asian style glaze.
  • Teriyaki Chicken Skewers – This recipe calls for strips of boneless chicken breasts or thighs marinated a teriyaki sauce in the fridge for a few hours. After they are done marinating in those delicious teriyaki flavors, they are cooked on the grill for a super tasty barbecued Asian meal.
  • Orange Chicken – My orange chicken recipe is super easy to make and is absolutely delicious. When I am craving orange chicken, I usually grab a bag of Trader Joe’s scrumptious Orange Chicken or order some up at a local Chinese restaurant. But, now I only use this recipe and it is seriously just like take out! It’s so good.
  • Sticky Sesame Chicken and Broccoli – Sticky Sesame Chicken and Broccoli made with pan fried chicken thighs and broccoli tossed in a delicious homemade sticky sesame sauce.
  • Chicken Teriyaki – Homemade teriyaki sauce tossed with pan fried chicken and a sprinkle of green onions.
