    Apple Cinnamon Banana Bread - Delicious banana bread made with fresh apple and a cinnamon brown sugar crumb topping. Serve bread lightly toasted with a smear of butter for breakfast or as an afternoon snack with a hot cup of tea or coffee.

    This recipe makes one 9"x5" loaf.

    Ingredients you need to make Apple Cinnamon Banana Bread:

    • 2 very ripe bananas
    • 1 apple
    • ½ cup granulated sugar
    • ¼ cup brown sugar
    • 1-½ cups all-purpose flour
    • ½ teaspoon baking soda
    • 1 egg
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla
    • 2 tablespoon milk
    • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
    • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
    • ⅛ teaspoon ground cloves

    Tools to have on hand:

    • Loaf Pan (9"×5")
    • Mixing Bowl
    • Large Mixing Spoon
    • Measuring Spoons and Cups
    • Cutting Board
    • Chef Knife

    How to make Apple Cinnamon Banana Bread:

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    Peel and remove core of apple. Finely chop and set aside.

    In a large bowl, mash the bananas. Add the remaining ingredients including the apple and mix to combine.

    Pour banana bread mixture into a lightly buttered 9″ x 5″ bread dish.

    Bake in the oven for 45-50 minutes.

    Remove from the oven and let cool. Slice and serve.

    Can I make banana bread ahead of time?

    Yes! Bake banana bread as directed and allow to cool completely. Store in a sealed storage bag or container on the counter for 3-5 days.

    How to freeze banana bread:

    If you want to bake banana bread ahead of time and freeze it for a longer storage life, wrap banana bread tightly in plastic wrap and place in an airtight freezer bag for up to 3 months. You can also slice the bread and wrap individual slices of bread with plastic wrap if you don't want to thaw the whole loaf and instead want to eat a slice at a time.

    To thaw banana bread:

    Pull banana bread out of the freezer and let come to room temperature. Slice and serve. Eat within 24 hours.
