Store bought tortilla chips just don’t do the trick like warm homemade tortilla chips! And they are so easy to make! Totally worth the extra effort to have fresh tortilla chips with your guacamole and salsa!

3. Authentic Mexican Refried Beans

I am a huge fan of real authentic Mexican refried beans! I have been ordering up bean and cheese burritos at Mexican restaurants since I was a kid. I always know right away whether the beans are the real homemade authentic style beans or canned. So, naturally, I had to try to make them myself! I was presently surprised at how great they turned out! These beans are the ones you hope to get on your plate when eating real Mexican food. They go great as a side dish or in a burrito, and more!

4. Fresh Spicy Pico de Gallo

Who doesn’t love a fresh pico on their tortilla chips or as a topping on their favorite taco? I know I do! Here is the easiest and tastiest pico de gallo recipe!

5. Jalapeno Corn Cake

When I serve up my corn cake, I like to top it with fresh pico de gallo, sour cream, hot sauce, and avocado. That got me thinking why not spice this corn cake up with some jalapeños and give it a little more of a creamy texture by adding sour cream to the batter. It turned out amazing and I am so excited I get to share this recipe with you all! Let’s get to it!

6. Fresh Guacamole

My husband makes this tasty guacamole at least once a week! When it’s avocado season, it’s more like 3 times a week and I am definitely not complaining! It’s the perfect guac and you can whip it up in less than 5 minutes. Chips and guacamole is the perfect appetizer, you can use this guac as a dip for taquitos, on top of a burger, with breakfast, and so much more.
