Creamy Instant Pot Mac and Cheese Recipe - The most delicious, cheesy, and creamy macaroni and cheese recipe made simply in your instant pot! This recipe comes together in under 15 minutes and will be sure to delight your taste buds.

Macaroni and Cheese is the ultimate comfort food and one that the whole family will love. I love this instant pot recipe because it makes making mac and cheese even easier than ever all in one pot.
This recipe will serve about 6-8 people depending on everyone's appetite and whether you are serving it as a side dish or main course. You can double the recipe or cut the recipe in half.

Ingredients you need to make Instant Pot Macaroni and Cheese:
Elbow Macaroni - We use large elbow macaroni in this recipe, but you can use regular elbows as well.
Water - You'll need four cups of water to boil the macaroni in the instant pot.
Butter - Salted or unsalted butter both work great.
Sharp Cheddar Cheese - A quality sharp cheddar cheese is best for the most delicious cheesy flavor. If you don't have sharp cheddar, you can use mild cheddar as well.
Parmesan Cheese - A quality parmesan cheese grated off the block is my favorite. You can use pre-shredded parmesan or your parmesan of choice.
Cream Cheese - Use a quarter cup of cream cheese for an even more delicious creamy macaroni and cheese.
Yellow Mustard - Adds a nice flavor to the macaroni and cheese.
Half and Half - You can also use whole milk in this recipe. Half and half will give you a creamier end result.
Seasonings - Garlic Powder + Onion Powder + Paprika + Black Pepper + Salt.

How To Make Instant Pot Mac and Cheese:
Add water, macaroni and salt to your instant pot and stir to make sure the macaroni isn't sticking together.
Place lid on your instant pot and pressure cook on high manual for 5 minutes. When done, let sit for 4 minutes then quick release.
Stir in butter, cream cheese, seasonings, yellow mustard and half and half. Stir in half the cheddar cheese and parmesan cheese until combined, then stir in remaining cheese.
Serve with your favorite hot sauces and main courses! Enjoy!
