I absolutely love this recipe when I want a fast homemade bread to serve with dinner, breakfast or lunch! This recipe makes a dozen biscuits. Cooking for a crowd? Simply double the recipe.

What ingredients do I need to make quick biscuits?

All-Purpose Flour - You can use regular bleached or unbleached all purpose flour or bread flour in this recipe.

Baking Powder - Assists in the rising process.

Salt - I almost always use sea salt in my recipes but you can use your favorite cooking salt.

Cold Butter - Salted or unsalted butter both work great.

Mayonnaise - Adds a delicious flavor to the biscuits. You can use your favorite brand. My favorite is Best Foods.

Milk - Whole milk or low fat milk both work great in this recipe.

What tools do I need for this recipe?

    • Large mixing bowl - To mix up your quick biscuits.
    • Measuring spoons and cups - For properly measuring all of the ingredients.
    • Cutting board - To cut the butter into cubes.
    • Knife - Cutting butter into cubes.
    • Fork (for blending butter - or just use your fingers!)
    • Baking sheet - To bake the quick biscuits on.
    • Cooling rack - Cooling biscuits after baking.

I really wouldn't call this dough "drop", more scoop and push. It is SO quick and very easy! The flavor and texture is everything you come to expect in a biscuit. This is my new go to receipt for biscuits.
