Cinnamon - We use ground cinnamon to give the muffins that warm and comforting spice.

Eggs - We use two regular eggs. Eggs act as a binder for the muffins.

Sugar - Regular granulated white cane sugar.

Brown Sugar - Light or dark brown sugar both work great in homemade muffins.

Butter - We use unsalted butter but if you have salted that works too.

Milk - We use whole milk but you can use 2%, nonfat, nut or oat milk.

Vanilla Extract - A quality pure vanilla extract is always best.

All-Purpose Flour - Regular white all-purpose flour is best in this recipe. You can use wheat flour, but it will change the texture of the muffins.

Baking Powder - Required to assist in the rising process.

Salt - Any cooking salt will do!

How To Make Apple Cinnamon Muffins:

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Begin by mixing cinnamon sugar topping in a small bowl and set aside.

In a large bowl, mix flour, cinnamon, salt and baking powder.

In a separate bowl, combine softened butter, brown sugar and white sugar. Whisk until smooth.

Whisk in applesauce, vanilla, milk and eggs.

Add dry ingredients to the wet and mix until just combined.

Evenly pour batter into your standard sized baking cup lined muffin pan. Sprinkle tops with cinnamon sugar topping.
