Today is the official first day of Autumn!! This is my absolute FAVORITE time of year and to celebrate, I am sharing my Apple Crisp recipe! This Apple Crisp is so scrumptious and will be sure to fill up your home with all those delicious fall flavors that we all know and love. Making an apple crisp is rather easy and can be done in under an hour. Let's get to it.

First, peel and slice the apples and then toss them into your baking dish. Pour lemon juice over the apples and use your hands mix the apples around to make sure they each get a little juice. Next, combine sugar, cinnamon, cornstarch, and flour in a dish. Sprinkle sugar mixture evenly over the apples. Then, you will evenly pour ½ cup water over your apples.
In a separate bowl, mix together oats, flour, baking soda, baking powder, brown sugar and melted butter. Evenly spread the topping all over your apples.
Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool.
    Serve with vanilla ice cream.
