Ingredients you need to make a Blue Cheese Bacon Burger:

Ground Beef - We used one pound of organic 85/15 ground beef. You can use your favorite type of ground beef. This will make three one third pound burgers.

Bacon - You'll need about 6-9 slices of bacon which will give you 2-3 slices per burger.

Blue Cheese - You can buy a chunk of blue cheese at your local grocery store. You'll need about a ¾ cup of crumbles for all three burgers.

Red Onion - About a half of a red onion. If you don't have red onion you can substitute for yellow or white.

Tomato - Tomato on the vine, Roma tomato or similar will be fine.

Lettuce - We used butter lettuce, you can use romaine lettuce, or similar as well.

Mayonnaise - Mayo for your buns. Use your favorite brand. We use best foods.

Hamburger Buns - Brioche hamburger buns are best in this recipe.

Blackened Seasoning - Paprika, Salt, Black Pepper, Garlic Powder, Cumin, Cayenne Pepper.

    Tools to have on hand:

    • Grill - To grill your burgers on and to lightly toast the buns.
    • Cutting Board - To chop and prepare the veggies.
    • Chef Knife - To chop and prepare the veggies.
    • Skillet - For cooking your bacon.

How to make Bacon Blue Cheese Burgers:

Heat skillet to medium-high heat. Sprinkle bacon with black pepper on all sides. Add bacon to the skillet and cook until crisp. Transfer to a plate for later.

Mix blackened seasoning together in a small bowl. Form three burger patties with the ground beef and press down to about a ½" thickness. Sprinkle patties with seasoning on both sides.

Heat your grill to medium heat. Add burger to the grill and cook for about 4 minutes. Flip and cook for another 4 minutes. Sprinkle half the blue cheese on your burgers and close lid to let cheese melt for a minute.

Toast buns on the grill for about a minute cut side down.

Remove patties and buns from the grill and assemble your burger.

Spread mayonnaise on your buns, top with lettuce, onion, tomato, burger patty, bacon, remaining blue cheese and top bun. Enjoy!
