Teriyaki Burger Recipe - Juicy grilled Teriyaki Burger layered with grilled pineapple and onion, melty cheddar cheese, lettuce and tomato with homemade burger sauce.

We served our Teriyaki Burgers with my easy homemade Oven Steak Fries. You can also serve this burger with a fresh side salad, Hawaiian Macaroni Salad and much more!

Ingredients you need to make Homemade Teriyaki Burgers:
Ground Beef - One pound of your favorite type of ground beef. We used 85/15 organic ground beef.
Pineapple - Fresh sliced pineapple rings are best, but you can also use canned pineapple rings. You'll need one per burger. This recipe will make three burgers.
Hamburger Buns - We used sesame hamburger buns, but you can use your favorite type of bun.
Teriyaki Sauce - You'll need about a â…“ cup of teriyaki sauce. You can use your favorite store brand or you can use my homemade recipe here.
Tomato - One to two tomatoes on the vine sliced. You can also use Roma tomatoes or beefsteak, etc.
Lettuce - Romaine or iceberg lettuce shredded.
Onion - You'll need one yellow onion to make the grilled onions. You can also use red onion.
Cheddar Cheese - Three slices of sharp cheddar cheese or American cheese.
Mayonnaise - This will be used to make the burger sauce. We like Best Foods or Chosen Mayo.
Mustard - Yellow mustard for the burger sauce.
Ketchup - For the burger sauce.
Sweet Relish - You can also use a dill relish or finely chop a sweet/dill pickle.
Salt - To season your burger patties.
Black Pepper - To season the burger patties. Freshly cracked or ground.
How to make the Best Teriyaki Burger:
Mix together ingredients to make the "Burger Sauce". Cover and transfer to the fridge.
Divide the ground beef into three patties and season with salt and pepper on all sides.
Heat your grill to medium heat. Lightly oil the grates.
Once the grill is hot, add pineapple rings and thick onion slices. Close lid and cook for about 3-4 minutes until bottoms have nice grill marks, then carefully flip.
Baste tops of the onions and pineapple with teriyaki sauce. Turn one side of the grill off and transfer the onion and pineapple over.
Add burger patties to the hot side of the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-well. Towards the end of the second flip baste burgers with teriyaki sauce and top with a slice of cheddar cheese. Close lid to let cheese melt.
Add buns to the grill and lightly toast.
Assemble burgers: Spread burger sauce on both buns, top with shredded lettuce, tomato slices, pineapple slice, grilled onions and finally the burger patty. Add more teriyaki sauce to the top of the burger patty. Top with bun. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1 lb. Ground Beef 85/15
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ½ tsp Black Pepper
- 3 Pineapple Rings fresh or canned

- 3 slices Sharp Cheddar Cheese

- ¼ cup Mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoon Ketchup
- ½ teaspoon Yellow Mustard
- 1 tbsp Sweet Pickle Relish
