Chicken and Broccoli Cheese Tortellini Bake - Cheese tortellini, tender pieces of chicken and broccoli tossed in a garlic parmesan cream sauce baked to golden perfection. Serve this delicious tortellini dish as an easy family friendly dinner!

Ingredients You Need To Make Chicken and Broccoli Cheese Tortellini Bake:
Cheese Tortellini - Use your favorite brand of cheese tortellini. You'll need about one pound.
Chicken - Boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts both work great in this recipe. We use about one pound.
Broccoli - Two cups of fresh or frozen broccoli florets.
Butter - Use salted or unsalted butter. We use a quarter cup of butter for searing the chicken and making the cream sauce.
Olive Oil - You can use olive, avocado or canola oil in this recipe.
Fresh Garlic Cloves - Using fresh garlic is highly recommended for the best flavor. One teaspoon of garlic powder can be used as a substitute.
All-Purpose Flour - Flour is used to thicken our garlic parmesan cream sauce.
Milk - We use whole milk in this recipe but you can also use half and half.
Chicken Broth - You can use chicken broth or vegetable broth for the sauce.
Parmesan Cheese - The better quality the parmesan cheese, the more delicious your dish will turn out!
Mozzarella Cheese - We use mozzarella cheese to sprinkle on top of the tortellini bake prior to baking in the oven.
Cottage Cheese - Cottage cheese goes into the creamy sauce. You can also use ricotta cheese as a substitution.
Seasonings - Black Pepper, Salt, Parsley, Basil, Paprika, Garlic Powder.

Tools To Have On Hand To Make Baked Tortellini:
- Baking Dish - You'll need a standard 9x13 baking dish.
- Large Skillet - A large skillet with lid is used to cook the chicken and sauce.
- Garlic Press - You can use a garlic press or grater to mince the garlic.
- Cheese Grater - Use any cheese grater for the parmesan and mozzarella cheeses.

How To Make Chicken and Broccoli Cheese Tortellini Bake:
Steam broccoli until tender but firm, set aside for later.
Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, basil and paprika.
Add butter and oil to a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken to the hot skillet and cover with lid. Sear for about 4-5 minutes, then flip chicken over and cook for another 4-5 minutes until cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and cut into bite size pieces.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In the same skillet you cooked the chicken, make the garlic parmesan sauce. Add butter and minced garlic over medium-low heat. Once the butter has melted and garlic is fragrant, stir in flour.
Very slowly begin to stir in milk and chicken broth while whisking frequently. Once you have a nice creamy sauce, stir in cottage cheese, parmesan cheese and seasonings.
Add cheese tortellini, chicken and broccoli to the sauce and stir to combine. Carefully, pour into a 9x13 baking dish. Sprinkle top with mozzarella cheese.
Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes.
When done, remove from the oven and allow to cool before serving. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 20 oz Cheese Tortellini
- 2 cups Broccoli Florets fresh or frozen
- 1 lb. Chicken Breasts or Thighs boneless, skinless
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
- ⅛ teaspoon Black Pepper
- ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
- ½ teaspoon Dried Basil
- ½ teaspoon Paprika
- ½ tablespoon Olive Oil or similar
- 1 tablespoon Butter salted or unsalted
- ½ cup Mozzarella Cheese
Garlic Parmesan Sauce:
- 3 tablespoon Butter salted or unsalted
- 3 Garlic Cloves minced
- 3 tablespoon All-Purpose Flour
- 1 ½ cups Whole Milk
- 1 cup Chicken Broth
- ¾ cup Cottage Cheese or ricotta cheese
- 1 teaspoon Dried Parsley
- ½ cup Parmesan Cheese
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
- ⅛ teaspoon Black Pepper
