
Classic Homemade Meatloaf - Tender meatloaf, full of flavor, topped with a sweet and savory tomato topping. Serve meatloaf with mashed potatoes, veggies, mac and cheese, and so much more! It's even excellent on bread as a meatloaf sandwich.
How to make a Classic Homemade Meatloaf:
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp mustard
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp worcestershire
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp paprika
- ¾ cup breadcrumbs panko or classic
- ¼ tsp cumin
- ½ tsp dried parsley
- ¼ cup onion finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- â…“ cup milk
- 1 egg
Topping:
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- ¼ tsp mustard
- 1 tsp brown sugar
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- In a large bowl, combine all meatloaf ingredients and mix until well incorporated.
- Scoop meatloaf mixture evenly into a 9"x5" bread baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix topping ingredients until combined. Evenly spread topping on the meatloaf and bake in the oven for 45 minutes, uncovered.
- Remove meatloaf from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Slice meatloaf and serve! Enjoy!
