    Green Enchilada Sauce - A classic green enchilada sauce full of delicious flavors and perfect to top off your favorite enchiladas, tacos, burritos and more.

    Ingredients you need for this recipe:

    • 7 oz. can diced green chiles
    • oil (canola, olive or avocado)
    • garlic clove
    • onion
    • cumin
    • oregano
    • chicken broth
    • salt

    Tools needed for this recipe:

    • saucepan
    • measuring spoons + cups
    • liquid measuring cup
    • garlic press
    • cutting board
    • chef knife
    • blender or food processor

    How to make green enchilada sauce from scratch:

    Step 1: Heat saucepan to medium heat and add oil and diced onions. Cook, stirring occasionally, until onions are soft. Add minced garlic and cook another minute until fragrant. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a low simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

    Step 2: Transfer sauce to a blender and blend until smooth.

    ** This enchilada sauce will last in an airtight container in the fridge for about 3-5 days and in the freezer for about a month.

    • 1 garlic clove minced
    • ½ cup onion chopped
    • ½ teaspoon cumin
    • ¼ teaspoon oregano
    • 1 ¼ cup chicken broth
    • ¼ teaspoon salt

    Instructions
