We have been making this No Knead Artisan Bread on a weekly basis! There is no need to buy loaf bread in store when you make your own at home for a fraction of the price. And not only is it cheaper to make homemade bread, but it tastes so much better!

This recipe will make one loaf of bread. You can make multiple batches if you want to make more than one loaf. Serve sliced bread toasted with butter and jam, or with your favorite sandwich toppings and more!

Ingredients you need to make homemade No Knead Artisan Bread:

All-Purpose Flour – Regular all-purpose flour is all you need for this recipe. We used organic all-purpose flour. You can also use wheat flour for a wheat loaf.

Sugar – I used raw cane sugar, but you can use regular white sugar or stevia, etc. You only need one teaspoon.

Salt – Any cooking salt you prefer. I almost always use sea salt in my recipes. You’ll only need one teaspoon.

Active Dry Yeast – You’ll need one teaspoon of active dry yeast. I like to buy a jar of active dry yeast and store it in my fridge so I can use it whenever I need and it lasts so long!

Water – Room temperature water for your dough.

Tools to have on hand for this recipe:

  • Bread Loaf Pan – A standard sized bread pan.
  • Mixing Bowl – You’ll need one large mixing bowl to make the dough in.
  • Large Mixing Spoon – For mixing the bread dough.
  • Measuring Spoons and Cups – To properly measure all of your ingredients!

How To Make Easy No Knead Artisan Bread:

In a large deep bowl, add flour, salt, yeast and sugar. Mix to combine.

Add water to the dry ingredients and stir. Add 1-2 tablespoons of water to the dough if the dough is too dry. You want the dough to be pretty sticky and not too dry.

Cover bowl of dough with a clean towel. Let rise for 6+ hours up to overnight.

Lightly grease a 9×5 bread pan. Using a rubber spatula, dump dough into the bread pan. Cover with a clean dish towel and let rise one more hour.

While dough rises, preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Tent the bread pan with a piece of aluminum foil. Place in the oven and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 20 minutes.

Once the bread is done, carefully transfer bread to a cooling rack. Allow to cool completely before slicing and serving. Enjoy!

Can I freeze homemade bread?

Yes! Once the bread has completely cooled, wrap tightly in plastic wrap. Place bread in a freezer bag and store in the freezer for up to 6 months. Once you are ready to eat, remove bread from the freezer and allow to come to room temperature on the counter.
