Homemade Pumpkin Bread makes for the perfect Fall treat. I love serving this bread warmed up for breakfast or an afternoon snack. Serve with a hot cup of coffee or a cold glass of milk.

This recipe will make one loaf of bread. If you are baking for a larger crowd, you can easily double this recipe. If doubling the recipe, bake two loaves side by side in the oven.

Ingredients You Need To Make Homemade Pumpkin Bread:

All-Purpose Flour - We typically use regular or organic unbleached all-purpose flour but you can use your favorite brand.

Pure Pumpkin - You'll need 1 cup of canned pure pumpkin. Use your favorite brand. We like to use the classic - Libby's.

Egg - One large egg is needed in this recipe.

Sugar - You can use regular white sugar or organic cane sugar.

Butter - We use unsalted butter in this recipe. If using salted butter, cut the salt in half.

Baking Powder - Baking powder helps to assist in the rising process.

Baking Soda - Baking soda helps to assist in the rising process.

Salt - Any cooking salt will do. We typically use Himalayan or sea salt.

Pumpkin Pie Spice - Adds a delicious warm spice to the bread. Use your favorite brand. We like Mccormick.

    How To Make Pumpkin Bread:

    Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder and pumpkin pie spice.

In the bowl of your stand mixer, add softened butter and sugar. Beat until fluffy. Add egg and beat to combine. Add pumpkin puree and beat to combine.

Dump dry ingredients into the wet and use a silicone spatula to combine.

Line a standard 8.5x4.5 bread pan with parchment paper or lightly grease with butter or oil.

Evenly pour pumpkin bread mixture into pan.

Transfer to the center of your preheated oven and bake for 65-70 minutes. When done, a toothpick will run through the bread and come out clean.

Allow bread to cool slightly before transferring to a cooling rack. Slice and serve warm.
