French Toast Recipe - A breakfast favorite! Homemade french toast is so easy to make and is absolutely delicious! Top with a drizzle of syrup, butter and a sprinkle of powdered sugar.

French toast is one of my favorite breakfast treats. It's always so delicious and is super simple to make. My recipe only takes about 20 minutes from start to finish which is amazing!
This recipe is great for busy weekends or weekday mornings because it is so quick and easy to whip up! There are so many different toppings you can add to your french toast.
Top french toast with fresh fruit like berries or bananas. You can drizzle chocolate syrup on top or keep it simple with the classic - maple syrup.
Crisp up some bacon, sausage or ham to serve with your french toast! You can also fry up or scramble eggs to serve with your toast. Either way you can't go wrong.
This recipe makes 8 thick cut slices of french toast which serves about 4 people. If you are cooking for a smaller crowd, you can half the recipe. Or you can double the recipe if cooking for a large crowd.
Tools to have on hand for this recipe:
Ingredients you need to make the easiest french toast recipe at home:

How to make my super easy french toast recipe:
In a baking dish or any other semi deep bowl: mix eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and milk.
Heat a large skillet to medium heat. Add a tablespoon of butter or light oil to the skillet to prevent sticking.
Dip both sides of your bread into the egg mixture and transfer directly to the hot skillet. Cook bread until golden on the bottom, then flip and cook another minute or so until golden. Repeat with all bread.
Transfer french toast to a plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar, syrup and butter. Enjoy!

Finally found a recipe! This is how my mom made French Toast. So happy to have found a recipie for this. I've been going to Brunch the last few week and I kept getting french toast without cinnamon, vanilla or nutmeg. I don't consider that french toast.
Thanks,
