Ingredients you need to make Homemade Salsa:

Onion - Yellow or white onion both work great in this recipe. You'll need a half of an onion.

Jalapeño - One large jalapeño is used in this recipe. If you want a spicier salsa, leave the seeds in and just remove the stem. For a less spicy salsa, remove the seeds.

Garlic - You'll need two fresh garlic cloves for this recipe.

El Pato Tomato Sauce - We use the yellow can of the El Pato tomato sauce, you can also use the red or green can as well. You can find this sauce at your local grocery store next to the salsas.

Lime - One quarter of a fresh lime juiced. This is equivalent to about one tablespoon of lime juice.

Cilantro - A handful of fresh cilantro is needed for this salsa recipe. Stems removed. About a quarter cup of the leaves.

Salt - We almost always use Himalayan or sea salt in our recipes but you can use your favorite cooking salt. About one quarter teaspoon of salt.

Black Pepper - Fresh cracked black pepper or ground. You'll need an eighth teaspoon.

Vinegar - You'll need a half teaspoon plain distilled white vinegar.

**Full measurements and instructions are listed below in the recipe card.

Tools to have on hand for this recipe:
