I love this pizza dough recipe! It has been my go to recipe for a while now. It has worked really well for me and I have made all different styles of pizza using this dough and they turn out great! Whether you are making a deep dish, classic style, thin crust, or even a calzone, you can't go wrong! You will get two 12" pizzas with this recipe. I usually use one right away and place the other dough in the freezer for a later use. If you have a bigger family, making both might be a good idea!

Homemade Pizza Dough Recipe
Â
Yield: Two 12" pizzas
Â
Ingredients:
Â
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1-¼ teaspoon active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1-½ cups warm water (110 degrees)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Directions:
Â
- Fit mixer with dough hook.
- Pour warm water into the bowl of your stand mixer. Add yeast and sugar and let sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
- Add the oil, salt and flour to your mixing bowl. Knead over medium speed until a ball forms around your dough hook.Â
- Next, place the ball of dough in a lightly greased bowl. Cover and let rise for about 1.5 hours or until dough has doubled in size.
- Once your dough is ready, turn over onto floured surface and cut into two equal pieces. Save one for later in an airtight freezer bag. You may store in the freezer for about 3 months.
- Stretch out the dough you are cooking with, tossing with your hands for the best results. You can use a rolling pin if that is easier for you. Top with your favorite toppings!
- Depending on how you are cooking your pizza, whether on a pizza stone, or on a baking sheet, the temperatures and times will be slightly different. If you are using a baking sheet, bake at 400 degrees for about 13-15 mins. If you are using a pizza stone you want to preheat your oven to about 475 degrees, and bake about 10 mins.Â
