Crockpot Pulled Pork Sliders – Tender and delicious bbq pulled pork cooked low and slow in the crockpot. Layer the pulled pork on top of your toasted Hawaiian Rolls followed by creamy coleslaw and sweet pickle. These are melt in your mouth delicious!
Serve pulled pork sliders as a main course, an appetizer, or they would be great to serve at a party as well! These little sandwiches are excellent for summer or anytime of the year.
This recipe makes about 10 sliders. If you are cooking for a larger crowd, simply double this recipe. If you are cooking for a smaller crowd, cut the recipe in half.
Ingredients you need to make BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders:
Hawaiian Rolls – Or other slider buns/rolls.
Sweet Pickle – You can use sweet pickle relish or sweet pickles chopped up finely.
Pork butt/Shoulder – You’ll need one 1 1/2 – 2 lb. boneless pork shoulder or pork butt.
Oil – To sear the roast, you can use canola, vegetable, avocado, etc.
Water – Goes into the crockpot to allow the pork to steam and become very tender.
Mustard – You can use yellow, dijon or grainy mustard in this recipe.
Apple Cider Vinegar – If you don’t have apple cider vinegar you can substitute for red wine vinegar or white vinegar.
Paprika – Smoked or regular paprika both work great.
Brown Sugar – Light or dark brown sugar.
Salt – I almost always use sea salt in my recipes but you can use your favorite cooking salt/
Black Pepper -Freshly cracked or ground black pepper.
Barbecue Sauce – You can use your favorite store bought recipe or my favorite homemade bbq sauce recipe.
Cabbage – Red or green cabbage.
Carrot – Grated carrot for the slaw.
Onion – Yellow, red or white onion.
Lemon Juice – Fresh lemon juice is best.
Mayo – You can use your favorite mayonnaise. If you want a lighter slaw, substitute for greek yogurt.
Sweet Pickle Juice – To give the slaw a delicious flavor.
Sugar – White sugar.

How to make the best Crockpot Pulled Pork Sliders:
For the Slaw: Add all ingredients to a large bowl and mix to fully combine. Cover and place slaw in the fridge until you are ready to use, up to 24 hours.
For the Pulled Pork: In a small bowl, mix together apple cider vinegar, mustard, paprika, brown sugar, salt and pepper. Rub your pork butt all over with this mixture until it’s completely covered. Then, place the seasoned pork butt in a large bag or in a storage container to marinate for at least one hour and up to overnight in the fridge.
Once the pork is done marinating, heat 1 tbsp of oil over high heat in a skillet. When the skillet is very hot, sear the pork on all sides.
Place the seared pork in your crockpot along with any drippings from the pan. Pour 1/4 cup of water in the crockpot along with the pork.
Turn crockpot on low and cook for 7-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
When the pork is done cooking, it should shred very easily with two forks. Add a 1/2 cup of your favorite barbecue sauce to the pork and stir to combine.
Lightly toast your Hawaiian Buns and then top with pulled pork, coleslaw and sweet pickle! You are ready to eat!

- 2 lb pork butt/shoulder
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
Coleslaw
- 1/2 head large red cabbage sliced thin
- 1 carrot grated
- 1/3 cup yellow onion grated
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/3 cup mayo
- 2 tbsp sweet pickle juice
- 2 tsp white sugar
- 1/4 tsp cracked pepper
