Ingredients you need to make Grilled Honey Sriracha Chicken:
Chicken Thighs - Boneless skinless chicken thighs are best in this recipe but you can also use boneless skinless chicken breasts.
Butter - We used unsalted butter in this recipe, but you may also use salted.
Honey - Any unflavored honey will do! We like to use a good quality raw organic honey in our recipes.
Sriracha - The key ingredient! Use your favorite brand of sriracha hot sauce. We have been liking the Tabasco Sriracha lately.
Soy Sauce - I recommend using low sodium soy sauce in this recipe. However, regular soy sauce can also be used since we are only using one tablespoon.
Rice Vinegar - You can also use white wine vinegar as a substitution.
Seasonings - Garlic Powder, Salt, Black Pepper.
Optional Garnishes - Green Onions, Sesame Seeds, Red Pepper Flakes.
Tools to have on hand:
- Small Saucepan - To make the honey sriracha sauce.
- Cooking Spoon - For stirring your sauce while it cooks.
- Measuring Spoons + Cups - To properly measure all of your ingredients.
- Skewers - Wooden or metal skewers to skewer the chicken prior to grilling.
- Grill/Barbecue - For grilling the chicken skewers.

How to make Honey Sriracha Chicken Skewers:
In a small saucepan over low heat, add butter, sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and honey. Cook for a few minutes until butter is melted and sauce has come to a low simmer. Remove from heat and save for basting the chicken later.
Heat the grill to medium heat (about 350 degrees).
Place cubed chicken on skewers and season all sides with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
Once the grill is hot, place skewered chicken on lightly oiled grill. Turn the skewers every 3-4 minutes until the chicken is cooked through (internal temp 165 degrees), about 20-30 minutes. During the last few turns baste with honey sriracha sauce.
Remove chicken from grill and garnish with chopped green onions, red pepper flakes and sesame seeds (optional). Enjoy!
